There are many colleges in this country, and almost every single one of them has science programs, but there are a select few that stand out.

For degrees in Chemistry, it is important to first have knowledge of what you want to specialize in. For interests falling under the category of biochemistry, the top three schools to attend include University of California-Berkeley, Scripps Research Institute, and University of Wisconsin-Madison. These colleges range from $25,000 to $60,000, but scholarships are given on some occasions.

For degrees concerning organic chemistry, the top schools to attend are Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, and University of California-Berkeley. For interests in inorganic chemistry, the top three schools are Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, and University of California-Berkeley.

Though these schools can be quite expensive, remember that keeping your grades up, doing extracurricular activities, and staying involved in the community will raise the chances of being granted a scholarship. Try interning with a company that falls under the category of the degree you wish to obtain. Especially when applying for Ivy League schools, the school considers not only your grades, but how well-rounded you are as a person.
