Hoover Invitational Tournament

On November 10th, the JCHS Scholars Bowl teams competed at the Hoover Invitational Tournament, with 2 teams representing our school: Junior Varsity and Varsity.

The JV team successfully finished with a grand 3rd place trophy after 9 intense rounds. The team won matches against Vestavia Hills, Sparkman, and Gadsden City to name a few. The JV team consisted of the following students: Yewon Lee, Minh Phan, Avani Singireddy, and Joshua Murphree.

The Varsity team also won against more than half of the schools present. The Varsity team consisted of: Aditya Singhal, Assem Belhadj, and Rohan Sethi.

 

What is Scholars Bowl?

Scholars Bowl is a club that meets during refuel. Students who love the spirit of competitive academics and trivia come together to practice and answer questions about various subjects such as literature, science, and history. They attend tournaments on Saturdays to win titles and to test their knowledge against other schools.
