The Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program is a great opportunity to increase your personal global literacy. The ability to communicate effectively with anyone you meet is something of rising importance in our ever-connected world. The Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program offers an opportunity to expand your world-view and grow as a person.
Last year a James Clemens student, Ange Long, was selected to participate in the program. Ange described the program as ” an amazing experience to further develop your leadership skills and make connections with people around the U.S. and around the world “. Only 10 U.S. participants are selected each year. The program is hosted in Vermont as well as Washington, DC during four weeks in the summer. IYLEP is sponsored and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Youth Programs Division, and implemented by World Learning; this makes it entirely free for those selected.
